IceSweeper™ Maintenance

1. The screen over the Ice Sweeper™ intake should be cleaned as required, and at a minimum when the tank is cleaned. This insures that the Ice Sweeper™ can discharge cold water as required.

2. The Ice Sweeper™ is easily opened by unscrewing the top cap from the lower body. This allows the screen, spring and power element to be cleaned, and the cut-off seal o-ring to be inspected. Placing the parts back in order is simple and will not require any calibration. The brass shelled thermal element should never be disassembled, however, wiping the stainless steel polish rod with a soft cloth and an application of a light coat of grease yearly, will lengthen the life of the element. The Ice Sweeper™ is pre-set at the factory – no adjustment is required or advised in the field.

3. Depending on the type of debris and sediment in any particular trough, the cut-off seal may occasionally need to be replaced. An extra seal is included with every new Ice Sweeper™ inside the top cap for your convenience.

4. With the Ice Sweeper™ in operational mode and at a low temperature, the sensing element seat will be in the open position. NEVER PLACE FINGERS IN THE DISCHARGE OPENING CREATED. SERIOUS INJURY MAY BE THE RESULT. The Ice Sweeper™ should always have the screen in place for this reason.

5. The Ice Sweeper™ should not be subjected to temperatures exceeding 130º Fahrenheit. Damage to the power element may occur and void the warranty. More information is available online at www.icesweeper.com Ice Sweeper™ is the property of Baker Products, Ltd., Kingsbury, TX 78638
